I am so excited that The Tudors and The Hills are back on the air! I know, how different could my television tastes be, but they are. I can't help it, I am just odd like that. So here are some of my observations.
1. How stupid do the producers of the Tudors think we are? You replace one Jane Seymour with another and then retape some scenes. Why not just let it go. We get that recasts happen. Let it go.
2. So Jonathan Rhys Meyers doesn't want to go the Renee Zellweiger or George Clooney route and gain weight for a role. Even though King Henry VIII in the Jane Seymour years and beyond gains lots of weight, I get it. And you don't want to wear a fat suit, well, I am not the one paying your check. But please can someone lay off whatever is put in his hair? He looks slimy. I know its another way to age the King, but come on. Us women need are viewing pleasure.
3. Speaking of viewing pleasure, am I the only one that thinks that Henry Cavill looks like he is about three minutes from throwing up?
4. The best character on the show, Anne Boleyn, is a head shorter. But couldn't Natalie Dormer tape some scenes to torment Henry? Just so we could see her again because her Anne was simply amazing. If anything is lacking from this season, it is her interpretation of Anne and we can't even get one lousy dream sequence? Please?
5. Sir Francis Bryan. Reminds me of my crush on Patch Johnson in the 1980s. Since JRM is so heavy on the hair get and Henry Cavill looks like he ate a bug, it looks like my man is Sir Francis Bryan
6. So on the Hills last night, plastic doll Heidi goes to Lauren's surprise party. Everyone is surprised to see her. Except her sister Holly in the background who doesn't even flinch.
7. I punch better than Spencer. Which is not saying much at all.
8. Why isn't Lo a cast member? Why is Lo, who is the funniest, most intelligent, most gorgeous one of them all not featured more? Is it because she is smart and has run for, pardon the pun, the Hills.
9. Am I the only one that thinks that Spencer and Heidi would melt if they were put in front of a fire for more than five minutes? The two have more plastic surgery between them that the Catwoman scary woman.
10. Audrina and Brody...ewww

Gun Control
In the past few days, there have been at least three mass shootings in America. One in Binghamton, New York where a man walked into an immigration building and opened fire. Thirteen people are dead and more a wounded. The man, who I don't even want to name was cowardly enough to take his own life. Three policeman were killed in Pittsburgh, PA after a standoff went bad. And in Washington state, a father turned a gun in his five children. Why does this continue? Because I would really like to know.
According to ABC News, since April 2007 there have been over 50 mass shootings. Two hundred people are dead. All of these from someone who had access to a gun and decided to just shoot some people. Maybe there was a motive and maybe not. Recently in the United States, the loss of employment is one of the reasons that people are walking into buildings and unloading rounds of bullets. Early reports are saying that Mr. Wong, the man who went into the American Civic Association building in Binghamton, NY and killed thirteen people, wounded many more and finally killed himself did so because he lost his job and was having a hard mastering English. When are we, as a society going to wake up here? How many more people have to die before we have a good gun control bill?
Do Americans really need semi automatics? I mean, really? When was the last time that a hunter needed an AK-47 to go out to hunt for deer. Yes I realize that I may be a little extreme but we are talking about human life here. I don’t think that when our founding fathers were drafting the Constitution that they were thinking ‘the right to bear arms’ really meant the right to own as many semi automatic rifles as possible. You know how I protect my home? I lock my doors. The only gun that I know how to use is a water gun. We need to contact our Congress men and women and push for stronger gun control laws and stricter penalties.
Other countries have stricter gun control laws and the crimes in their countries are much lower than what it is here in the United States. Is this a coincidence? I hardly doubt it. Please, let us all collectively get together and work to fix this. April 20th, 2009 marks the ten year anniversary of Columbine. Let us not have another Columbine, Binghamton or Virginia Tech.

Pet Peeves
So many things irritate me. Does it make me a bad person...probably. Like sometimes I really thing I am going to hell because I think bad thoughts. But at least I am woman enough to admit that even I have faults.
1. Kids. They bug me. Especially all the kids that are with their parents on these horrible television shows. Yes, I am talking about John and Kate Plus Eight. And all those people who have 15 kids. And the Octo-Mom. What do you not have cable? If you want that many kids, adopt.
2. I do love my sister's kids and my friends kids. Not because I have too, but because I can give them back.
3. When my soap opera get preempted by the weatherman telling me it's snowing out. I can tell that because I looked out the window. Would the weatherman interrupt the Daytona 500 or the Super Bowl to tell us that it is snowing. Nope.
4. Stupid people. I don't care what anyone says, there are plenty of us stupid people out there.
5. My friend's dog who hates me for no reason. It's like I have this vibe that says that I can't stand him. But I love other dogs. A lot.
6. The fact that the New York Yankees exist
7. When I have the sunroof of my car open and I forget that it is open and I hit the windshield wiper fluid to come on. It always goes into the open sun roof and soaks me. I never learn. It must be because I don't like the kids on reality TV shows.
I am sure that eventually I will come up with more. But for now, it's a start. I'm just sayin....

The Virgin Post
Since this here is my very first post in the blog, I figured I might tell you a little about myself. People call me Tishy. I have many nicknames but that one seems to be the one that I like the most. Yes Jessica, I am looking at you for giving me the worst nicknames of my life that I still have to live down. I am a bleeding liberal who loves my President. I love to write, to argue, and to read. I am lamenting the loss of MSNBC on my cable channel since I now no longer get it. I am also a dying breed. For I am one of the few that love Soap Operas (www.soapoperasource.com is the best, just saying). My Mom and my sisters got me hooked. I blame them for a lot since as the youngest child it really is easier to blame them than to take responsibility. No, I am lying. I love my family, especially my Mom and my sisters with all my heart and I do not thing that I tell them enough.
I intend to talk about everything and nothing in this blog. You want to talk about anything, let me know. I will gladly discuss it. My prayers are going out to the communities of Binghamton, NY and to Pittsburgh, PA where gunshots were fired and innocent lives were lost. I just have to know, why can just about anyone get guns? Is it really necessary?
